Wynnewood, Oklahoma - Margaret Ruth Zebert was born on August 28, 1941 to Owen T. and Vera Baney (Courtney) Lack in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on May 18, 2023 at the age of 81.

Ruth married August Henry (Bud) Zebert Jr. on August 12, 1958. They raised their two sons in Pauls Valley.

Ruth worked many years at SORC until her retirement. Later in life Ruth went back to school and graduated with an RN degree. She used that license working as an RN for Washita Valley Nursing Home until her second retirement in 2020.

Some things that Ruth enjoyed most were spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She used to enjoy going on daily drives with Bud, which included a trip to Sonic for Happy Hour. Ruth loved gospel music and frequently went to singing shows.

She has a large extended family and was her happiest spending time with them doing skits and playing Dirty Santa and gathering for the holidays.

Ruth is survived by two sons: Terry Lynn Zebert and Sheri of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Scott Marlon Zebert and Carol of Noble, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Terrin Payne and Justin, Donnie Gardner and Sarah, Kristina Wiseley and Braden, Hunter Zebert and Kylee, Zachary Zebert; two great grandchildren, Weslie Wiseley and Parker Zebert; and two sisters, Loretta Brim and Clara Johnson, both of Pauls Valley.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Owen T. and Vera Baney Lack; her husband August Henry (Bud) Zebert Jr.; brothers: Bill Lack, Owen Ray Lack, O.T. Lack and Carlos Lack and sisters: Margie Mae Ivey, Linda J. Seale, and Carolyn Sue Lack.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 23 in the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Clayton. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.
