Graveside funeral services for Johnny DeWayne Morris will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the Dougherty Cemetery with Pastor Charles McGregor officiating.
Johnny was born March 22, 1964 in Plainview, Texas to John Hunt Morris and Shirley Patricia Cleaver. He died Sunday, October 25, 2020 in Oklahoma City at the age of 56 years, 7 months and 3 days.
Johnny and the former Ms. Angela Rosemary Lawrence were married on November 5, 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Johnny grew up in the Whitebead area, graduating from Maysville High School, Class of 1982.
Prior to failing health, he was employed with the WCA Waste Management Company for 10 plus years. Johnny was an avid fan of music and greatly enjoyed the steel guitar. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Angie; mother, Pat Jennings of Paoli; two daughters - Elizabeth Warren and husband Clayton of Ada, and Brandy Morris and companion Isaac Oxley of Stratford; stepdaughter, Amanda Corwin of Sulphur; stepson, Adrian Corwin of Edmond; two grandchildren, Sebastian Corwin and Oaklynn Oxley; as well as four siblings - Danny Jennings and wife Valerie of Paoli, Darren Jennings of Pauls Valley, Diann Roland of New Mexico, and Deborah Storrin and husband Kevin of Virginia.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, John Hunt Morris.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, October 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
