Carl Ray "Cotton" Pelfrey of Pauls Valley passed away December 30, 2022 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years.

"Cotton" was born February 26, 1946 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Harry Pelfrey and Cathleen (Longacre) Pelfrey. He was raised in the Elmore City area and is a graduate of Elmore City High School.

He was married to Deborah Lewis in Ada, Oklahoma on September 20, 1971. He worked as a car dealer and lived and worked in Garvin County most all of his life. He especially loved his family and greatly enjoyed fishing and camping and watching WWE wrestling on television.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Cathleen Pelfrey; brothers, George Pelfrey and Dale Pelfrey; and sister, Alice Long.

Carl's surviving family include his children - Carl W. Pelfrey and wife Angela of Lindsay, Vickie Rimes a traveler and husband Stanton, and Suzanne Devinney of Ponca City; grandchildren - Jessee Gorden, Joshua Gorden, Jolie Baker, and Chloe Pelfrey; as well as great grandchildren, Bexley Garden and Baker Gorden.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Steve Mayhan.

A private interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
