Harold Leo Seals, 81, of Marlow, Okla., passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. Harold was born September 29, 1935 in Sterling, Okla., to Lonnie and Thelma (Jolly) Seals.
He graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1954. Following high school he attended OSU on a football scholarship and later attended ECU.
Harold was a sales manager for Cooper Industrial Automotive for over 20 years. He also owned Seals Escort and at one time the Sears Catalog store in Pauls Valley.
Harold enjoyed fishing, golfing and working in the garden. He also enjoyed reading and watching football, especially the OSU Cowboys.
He was a member of the Better Business Bureau, Elks and Lions Club. Harold was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Kingston and during his time in Pauls Valley a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was the Crusaders class president at the time of the first Groundhog Breakfast that has been held annually for over 50 years.
He was an Air Force veteran serving as an air policeman.
Survivors include his two daughters: Ramona Seals and Susan Seals Skipper, both of Pauls Valley; grandchildren: Leiya Brewer, Elizabeth Murray and Nicholas Skipper; great-grandchildren: Thomas Calhoun, Madison Brewer and Tristan Schemedeke, all of Pauls Valley; brother, Billy Seals of Katy, Texas; and his wife Janice Seals of Marlow, Okla., and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patsy Walton.
A memorial celebration of Harold's life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Callaway, Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow with Rev. Larry Landtroop officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter, 300 E. Industrial Rd., Pauls Valley, OK 73075.
