Glenda's Story

Glenda "Sue-Sue" Diller, of Wynnewood, passed away November 30, 2016 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years. Glenda, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, was the secretary at Wynnewood High School for many years before becoming a teacher. She taught in Wynnewood and Pauls Valley schools. She was known as "Sue-Sue" to all her nieces and nephews, "Momo" to her grandchildren, "Mom" to her kids and their friends, and "World's Best Scrabble Player" to scores of others.

Glenda was born November 29, 1936 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Orgil Vivian and Mahota Wynomia (Hatch) Lafevers. After high school, she furthered her education earning her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She taught the 4th grade until her retirement. She and Merlin Diller were married in the Pauls Valley Church of Christ on September 4, 1959. Glenda was a member of Paoli Church of Christ.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Orgil V. and Mahota Wynoma Lafevers; one sister, Shirley Eldridge; and a nephew, Kyle McIntyre.

Surviving family include: her husband, Merlin Diller, of the home; two children, Nicki Diller and partner, Kathy Murphy, of Grapevine, Texas; and Barry Diller and wife, Karen, of Friendswood, Texas; two grandchildren, Laura-Kate Diller and Sarah-Beth Diller; two sisters, Joan Little and husband, Allen, of Oklahoma City; and Jenny McIntyre and husband, Doug, of Paoli; one brother, Brad Lafevers and wife, Mary, of Americus, Georgia; one aunt, Jo Mullins, of Ada; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance, officiated by Dwayne Southerland. Private interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
