Valton's Story

Valton Hamlet Doss of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Alonzo and Ruby (Stroud) Doss on March 27, 1935 in Ringling, Oklahoma and passed from this life on January 23, 2018 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years.
Valton grew up and attended school at Mt. Home, Whitebead, and Pauls Valley. Valton worked as a paint supervisor for Chicago Bridge & Iron and as a security guard at the Wynnewood Refinery for 13 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and woodworking.
Mr. Doss is survived by his wife, June of the home; sons Val Doss and wife Jerrie of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Chris Doss and wife Petra of Drummond, Oklahoma; daughter, Leia Doss Sumner of Elmore City, Oklahoma; brothers: Cecil Doss and wife Towana of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and David Doss and wife Janice of Newalla, Oklahoma; sisters Fay Griffith of Glennpool, Oklahoma, and Betty Chambless of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandson on the way.
Mr. Doss was preceded in death by his parents Alonzo and Ruby Doss; and 2 brothers, Alonzo Doss and Don Doss.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Elmore City First Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Reed officiating.
Interment will be in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. You may send a condolence to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com.
