Funeral service for Ruby Johnson will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Riddles, Ray of Hope Church in Duncan, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, Oklahoma. Ruby Johnson, 100, Lawton, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at her home. She was born September 10, 1915 in Wakita, Oklahoma to William Hayden and Clara L. (Willett) Reeder. She grew up in the Franklin community north of Lawton. On June 8, 1932 she married Mac Johnson in Lawton. He passed away December 2, 1965. Ruby and Mac had four children. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life. She is survived by her daughter Linda Hicks of Lawton; six grandchildren - Mark Knap of Suwanee, Ga., David Hill and wife Laura of Owasso, Okla., Laurie Sloan of Paoli, Okla., Bart Hill and wife Jessica of Amarillo, Texas, Bill Gorley of Walters, Okla., Justin Hicks of Lawton; 13 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her children Evelyn Knap, Laverne Hill and James Johnson; eight siblings; a grandson, Michael Johnson Knap; and two great grandsons, Gage Christopher and Justin Michael Hicks.
