Robert's Story

Robert Wayne Turner of Wynnewood, Oklahoma was born to Robert Wayne and Shirley (Turner) Williams on September 19, 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed from this life on March 9, 2017 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 46 years.
Robert grew up and attended school in Oklahoma City, Pernell, and Wynnewood where he graduated in 1989. He then attended NEO College (Miami, Oklahoma) where he played football.
Robert worked at Southern Oklahoma Resource Center and ranched. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, rodeoing, fishing, hanging out with friends and family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews, and grandsons.
The highlight of his life was winning the Class 2A State Football Championship in 1987-1988. Robert taught others to enjoy life to the fullest and the importance of getting an education.
Mr. Turner leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jennifer of the home; 3 sons: Kyren Turner, Kole Turner, and Jashay Turner; 5 daughters: Eboni Turner, Jaylin Turner, Brooklyn Turner, Kalyn Turner and Jakayla Turner; parents, Shirley and Frank Williams; grandfather, Earl Miles; 2 brothers: James Williams and wife Keshia and Jermaine Williams; 2 sisters: LaTressa Williams and Vanessa McNeil and husband Chad; 2 grandchildren: Robert Wayne Turner II and Malakhy Levi Turner; and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jeanette Miles, Frank and Flossie Williams; great-grandfather, Andrew Turner; and great-grandmother, Annie Mae Turner.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Wynnewood, Oklahoma with Rev. James Sheldon Williams officiating.
Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
