Ramona's Story

Ramona Beth Henthorn, 85, entered this life on November 9, 1931, in Hutchinson, Kansas. Beth was born the third child of James and Lodema Cassil Henthorn.
Beth married Jim Paul on June 7, 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Beth was a lifelong resident of Elmore City, Oklahoma. She and Jim raised 5 children, 4 boys and 1 daughter.
Beth was an LPN at the Pauls Valley State School and retired from there after 35 years of service. For the last 35 years she resided on the farm east of Elmore City. On the farm she enjoyed tending the cows and all the work that went along with it. After the death of her husband she remained living on the farm until November 2016.
Due to declining health she sold her home and moved to Oklahoma City to be close to her daughter Cindy. It was during this short time, she enjoyed very much her days with Cindy and her 4 youngest great-grandchildren: Finley, Kenzi, Phenix, and Lila Kate; and great-great-grandson Ryatt.
Beth is survived by 2 sons: Michael and wife Debbie of Oklahoma City, and Tommy and wife Florena of Elmore City, Okla.; daughter, Cindy Stubblefield and husband Gary of Piedmont, Okla.; 2 sisters: Ardis Flannigan of Pauls Valley, and Beverly Ables of Del City; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
Beth is preceded in death by her husband Jim; sons: Jimmy Lee and Jackie Dale; 1 great-grandson Taylor; and parents, James and Lodema Henthorn.
Graveside services were scheduled for Monday, April 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Elmore City Cemetery, Elmore City, Oklahoma with Joe Terrell officiating. Interment was in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
