Phoebe's Story

Phoebe Ann Smith Redbird, 62, was born February 14, 1954 and passed from this life August 31, 2016 at the Silvercrest Manor in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

She was born to Aaron William Smith Sr. and Colleen Shortneck Highwalker. She grew up in Oklahoma. She was a wife and homemaker. She was a cheerful person on earth.

Phoebe loved to do good for others. She always gave clothes and others good to anyone that needed something. She loved playing bingo, OU football and the Thunder. Phoebe wore an OU shirt every day.

She is survived by 3 brothers - Edwin Smith, Aaron Smith Jr. and Dean Smith; 3 step-sisters - Carol Coltz, Francine Peach and Thelma Tartsa; 7 sisters - Pam Young, Audrey Connelly, Nadine Smith, Martha Wilson, Donna Smith, DeAnna Smith, and Maggie Rocha; and a sort of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Aaron William Smith Sr. and Colleen Shortneck Highwalker; sisters Sandy Hall and Lorreta Smith; and step-brother, Larry Coltz.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Dixon Chapel Cemetery in Byars, Oklahoma.
