Pauline Cothren/Cofer of Stratford, Oklahoma was born July 17, 1930 in Roff, Oklahoma to Sam and Iva Mae (Simmons) Yeargan. She passed from this life September 7, 2017 in Stratford, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 20 days.
She married Troy Cothren on April 10, 1946 in Sherman, Texas, and they raised their family in Wynnewood. Her husband passed away in July of 1981. Pauline then married Bob Cofer on August 4, 1992 in Gainesvile, Texas.
She lived 50 years in Wynnewood, Oklahoma before moving next door to her youngest daughter Gina Mann the past four years. She was the greatest mom and nanny that ever lived; Her smile said it all! She was a devout Christian and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
She was preceded by her brothers and sisters - Harlis and Elmo Yeargan, Wanda Simco, Jerlean Williams, and Edith Hughes; and one grandchild, Kristen Cothren Cottrell.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Cofer; two daughters - Gina Mann and husband Johnny of Stratford, Oklahoma, and Brenda Roby and husband Richard of Stratford; two sons - Ron Cothren and wife Valerie of Wynnewood, and Troy Cothren and wife Cheryl of Tuttle, Oklahoma; one stepson, Joe Cofer and wife Nancy of Tecumseh; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Stratford Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Billie Bowles and Rev. Trisha Smith. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are Ron Keith Cothren, Shane Cothren, Brandon Cothren, Troy Sumner, Jeremy Sumner, and Wes Hilliard. Honorary pallbearers are Raymond Milligan and Bill Jones.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017 at DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home.
