Paula "Sue" Parker, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away February 17, 2017 at the age of 73 surrounded by her loving family.
Sue was born September 17, 1943 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Lillian Pauline (Hicks) and Lannie Olen Warren. She was the fifth of 14 children born to Pauline and Olen. Sue attended Woodland School and graduated in 1961.
On January 9, 1964, she married the love of her life, Dewey Douglas Parker, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They recently celebrated 53 years of marriage. She was blessed with 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Sue worked hard all her life at many different jobs but most enjoyed being a nurse's aide, a home health provider and a homemaker.
She enjoyed being with her family, traveling and camping. Sue loved to go on trips, especially with her kids and grandkids, her "sister" trips and adventures with Dewey, Judy and Roy. She loved celebrating all holidays but her favorites were Christmas and Easter. She was of Baptist faith and attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Dewey; daughters Karen McFadden and husband Randal, Donna Dudley and husband David; son Doug Parker and wife Shawna; 6 grandchildren - Amy Howard and husband Darren, Kristie Terry and husband Dustin, Sarah Eastwood and husband Joey, Jake Dudley, Harli Parker and Haiden Parker; 5 great-grandchildren - Dara Howard, Hunter Howard, Justin Terry, Jaylee Terry and Sam Eastwood; 4 sisters - Judy Cunningtubby and husband Roy, Katie Harrel and husband Mark, Mona Taylor and husband Leland and Linda Gentry; 6 brothers - Billy Warren and wife Portia, Donnie Warren and wife Sandra, Johnny Warren and wife Brenda, Lannie Warren, Darrell Warren and wife Wanda and Michael Warren and wife Cindy; brother-in-law, Charles Russell; sister-in-law, Everetta Call; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Olen and Pauline, sister Betty Lou Warren, brothers Bobby and Paul Keith Warren, brother-in-law Terry Gentry, sister-in-law Juanita Russell and brother-in-law, Freddy Call.
Sue was a fighter and overcame numerous medical obstacles in the last few years. We rejoice that she is now pain free but she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. We look forward to joining her in our Heavenly home.
Those serving as casket bearers are Charles Wayne Warren, David Warren, Warren Taylor, Jimmy Gentry, Casper Warren, Kendal Warren, Kirk Warren, Kevin Warren, George Russell and Jason Taylor.
A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church in Elmore City, Oklahoma on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 2 p.m.
