Mary Rose Hammond of Wynnewood, Oklahoma was born to Lee and Elsie (Heflin) Hammond on August 3, 1942 in Iuka, Illinois and passed from this life on October 8, 2017 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years.
Mary grew up and attended school in Illinois. In 1983, she made her home in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, where she worked as a nurses aid until her retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and soap operas. The highlight of her life was her grandchildren.
Ms. Hammond is survived by 2 sons: Eugene Williams and wife Rosa of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and Jimmy Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 2 daughters: Angie Shaw and husband David of Mustang, Oklahoma; and Misty Brown and Michael Perry of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren: Kayla Thomas, Ashley Waymire, Ayla Perry and Kadie Perry; and 2 great-grandchildren, Braxton Waymire and Rylan Waymire.
Ms. Hammond was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Elsie Hammond; 6 brothers: Cheese, Everett, Kenny, Butch, Jimmy and Billy Hammond; and 1 sister, Betty Wagoner.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley.
