Mark Radtke of Athens, Tennessee, formerly of Elmore City, entered this life born to Charles Leo and Mary Ellen Evans Radtke on February 14, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mark entered eternal life on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Athens, Tenn., at the age of 62 years.
Mark attended school at McCarty School and later graduated from Elmore City High School. He was a gifted athlete.
After attending East Central University, he was a journeyman with Brown and Root, where he learned his trade. Mark had an especially strong bond with his coworkers and loved his job. He worked as an electrical superintendent with Kam Tech which later became Amec Foster-Wheeler.
Mark married the love of his life Jeannean on September 2, 1999 at the county courthouse in Athens, Tenn. Mark was Jeannean's "forever man"; the couple affirmed their love for each other each day always remembering to say I Love You sometime during the day and whispering I love you before going to sleep.
His children remember him as a good father and good grandfather. His wife and his grandchildren were the highlight of his life. Mark enjoyed football and playing his guitar.
Mark is survived by his wife Jeannean; 2 daughters, Katie Wagner and Maggie Radtke; 1 brother, Mike Radtke; 2 sisters, Bonnie Meisel and Monica Carroll; grandchildren Abigail, Madelyn, Prudence and Junior Wagner, Bethani Drumm, Evan, Rinoa, and Thea Butler; Jeannean's children Jeff, Mitch and Jason; and also several nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Radtke and father-in-law Curtis Forehand.
Funeral Mass was scheduled for Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Pauls Valley.
Interment was to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
