Marilyn's Story

Marilyn June Fisher of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Elmer and Ruth Holt on September 10, 1944 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on February 13, 2018 at her home near Pauls Valley at the age of 73 years.
Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School and later attended Oklahoma School of Banking. Marilyn was an Assistant Vice President at Pauls Valley National Bank.
On May 25, 1963, Marilyn married Fred Fisher in Holdenville, Oklahoma. They made their home in Pauls Valley where she was actively involved with multiple organizations.
Marilyn was a proud supporter of 4-H and FFA. She assisted with the FFA premium sales and the annual Garvin County Livestock Show. For many years, she served as chairman of the Garvin County Livestock Show and secretary of the FFA Booster Club.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and sewing. The highlights of her life were her children and watching them participate in various sports and activities.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by husband, Fred Fisher of the home; sons Jeff Fisher and Mike Fisher; daughter Britany Fisher Nabors; sister Karen Cole; special sister, Rita Jones; special cousin called brother, Gary Don Beaty; grandchildren: Garrett Fisher, Marti Fisher and Jennifer Baker; and 1 great-grandson, Case Baker.
Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Ruth Holt; and daughter, Alisha Fisher.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Church of Christ in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma with Tim Duncan officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
