Kenny Lynn Thompson of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to E.L. Thompson and Earlene (Clemons) Upshaw on September 8, 1954 in Ada, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 2, 2017 in Elmore City, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years.
Kenny grew up and attended school in Stonewall. He served his country in the U.S. Army. His favorite job was driving a tank truck for Bob Christian. In his spare time he enjoyed drawing, painting, horseback and motorcycle riding and fishing.
The highlights of his life were his children. He taught others to do things your own way and don't take things for granted.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his son: Christopher Lynn Thompson and wife Alisha of Vanoss, Oklahoma; daughter: Candice Elizabeth Henderson and husband Mark of Enid, Oklahoma; parents: Earlene and Travis Upshaw of Elmore City, Oklahoma; brothers: Don Thompson and wife Kathy of Bray, Oklahoma, and Travis Upshaw and wife Stephanie of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; sisters: Linda Davis and husband Tony of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Donna McFadden and husband Danny of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Tammy Thompson of Elmore City, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren: Taylor Smith, Jacob Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Riley Vasquez, Spencer Thompson, Honey Bushnell, Gwendolyn Thompson, and Alaena Degenar; and 2 great-grandchildren: Easton Smith and Baylor Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his father, E.L. Thompson.
