Kenneth Loyd Morphew, 62, of Elmore City, Oklahoma passed away on June 11, 2017 at his home. Memorial services will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Elmore City Senior Citizen Building at 2 p.m. with Chaplin Tim Duncan officiating.
Kenneth was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on July 20, 1954 to Hebert George and Marquita Ernestine Morphew of Elmore City, Oklahoma.
He graduated from Elmore City High School in 1972. He worked in the oil field for various oil field companies in the area. He ended his career as an "over the road" truck driver. Prior to retiring due to illness in 2016 he worked for HTC out of Roff, Oklahoma.
Kenneth married Debra Lynn Rowell of Paoli, Oklahoma on August 25, 1972. They settled in Elmore City, Oklahoma to raise their family. They were married for 34 years before she passed away in 2006.
Kenneth is survived by two son: Kenneth Morphew Jr. of Elmore City, Oklahoma and Kristopher Morphew of Elmore City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Tammie and Thomas Gandy of Elmore City, Oklahoma; one brother, Lawrence and Ina Morphew of Mustang, Oklahoma; one sister, Marquita and Jerry of Nevada, Texas; six grandchildren: Tristian Gandy of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Corbin Gandy of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Tyler Gandy of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Cinsey Gandy of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Autumn Morphew of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and Kenneth Morphew III of Elmore City, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Marquita Morphew; his spouse, Debra Lynn Morphew; one brother, Hebert George Morphew Jr.; his grandparents, as well as several aunts and uncles.
