Kacela Driskill Wallace of Midwest City, formerly of Pauls Valley, passed away July 31, 2017 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years.
Kacela was born November 7, 1927 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Willis Alexander and Ruby May (Warren) Driskill. Kacela was raised in the Klondike community near Pauls Valley. She moved to Midwest City at an early age and has lived there most of her life.
Kacela Joyce Driskill was married to Lloyd Edward Wallace in Chickasha, Oklahoma on May 8, 1948. Her career led her into healthcare, working at the Veterans Medical Center in Oklahoma City as a secretary until her retirement. Kacela was a member of Crest Baptist Church in Midwest City.
She enjoyed shopping for antiques, gardening, traveling and was a wonderful dancer who enjoyed listening to music and learning new dance steps. She was very proud of her many beautiful trees and shrubs she had planted in her yard. All of her nieces and nephews fondly remember her wonderful fudge and divinity candy.
Kacela especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was the last member of her family of brothers and sisters to pass away and will be missed very much by her remaining family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willis A. and Ruby May Driskill, two sisters and two brothers.
Her surviving family include her many nieces and nephews, as well as grand-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance.
Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
