Josephine's Story

Text size

Josephine Boyles Wade, 96, of Pauls Valley passed away June 3, 2017 in Pauls Valley. She was born August 22, 1920 in Paoli to Tyler "Tye" and Oney Parten Boyles.
She and Eugene Calvin Wade of Wayne were married on June 9, 1934 at the young ages of 13 and 17 respectively.
She was a member of the Pauls Valley New Life United Pentecostal Church and has made the Garvin County area her home all of her life.
Josephine was well known for her homemade pies, most especially her coconut cream and was dubbed, "Josephine, Queen of the Coconut Cream." She enjoyed sharing her talents of homemade pies, chicken and dumplings and chicken and dressing for the holidays. She was most proud of her title, "Grannie Wade."
She loved the Lord and her church and often times would be heard saying, "I want to be found faithful."

If people like us didn't know people like you,
Life would lose it's meaning and it's riches too.
For the friends that we make are life's gift of love
And we think friends are sent right from Heaven above.
And thinking of you all somehow makes us feel
That Jesus is Love and He's Very Real.

The family of Josephine Wade would like to thank all of our friends who gave words of encouragement, food, beautiful floral arrangements, cards, prayers and those of you who were able to attend her memorial services, David Coffey for the beautiful service, UPC church for the lovely bereavement luncheon and the ministers who presided over the service.
May God richly bless you for the kindness shown to Mama and her family.
