JoAnn Wallace of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to John Wesley and Eula Mae (Bullard) Woolsey on December 12, 1941 in Elmore City, Oklahoma and passed from this life on April 4, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years. JoAnn attended school in Maysville and Parks before graduating in 1960 from Elmore City. She was a starter on the 1959 Class B Girls State Championship team. JoAnn fulfilled her dream of becoming a beautician in 2005 and began cutting hair in her own shop – Jo’s Creative Cuts and continued to provide service to many loyal customers until her health forced her to stop in 2015. She enjoyed arts and crafts, woodworking, and watching sports on T.V. especially Thunder basketball. She also enjoyed spending time with family. JoAnn is survived by 3 sons - Kelly Wallace of Manitou, Oklahoma, Jeff Wallace and wife Shellie of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Jerry Wallace and wife Stefanie of Lindsay, Texas; 7 grandchildren - Eric Wallace, Nikki Wallace, Jordan Wallace, Jace Wallace, Elizabeth Wallace, Joshua Wallace, and Clinton Wallace; 2 great-grandchildren, Kaiden Zachary and Wyatt Zachery; and 5 sisters - Joyce Dehart of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Jeannette Payne of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Carol Flanders of Purcell, Oklahoma, Pat Wright of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Kaye Ellis of Elmore City, Oklahoma. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eula Mae Woolsey; 1 great-grandchild, Zaiden Wallace; brother, Don Woolsey. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Elmore City with Rev. Danny Reed officiating.
