James Richard "Rick" Manning, 69, was born March 13, 1947 in Pauls Valley, Okla., and died December 15, 2016 after a valiant fight with cancer.
Rick is survived by the love of his life, his wife Karen Coffey Manning; and the couple's two children - daughter Ginger Manning Dobbins and her husband Hershel, and granddaughter Morgan, and son Greg Brian Manning wife Kacy and granddaughters Kally and Gracy.
He is also survived by his sister Katie Manning Weaver and her husband James of Ft. Worth, Texas; and brother E.T. Manning and wife Sally of Dallas, Texas.
Rick is also survived by his very close cousin Tanna Smith and her husband Tom of Edmond, Okla.; and also by numerous cousins, friends, and work associates.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer T. Manning and Mary Virginia Minor Manning.
Rick graduated from Pauls Valley High School and attended East Central University at Ada. He owned Manning Oil in the 1980s and 1990s. At the time of his death he was employed by Ada Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler.
Rick loved his wife Karen with all his heart, as well as his children, grandchildren, Oklahoma University football and the Dallas Cowboys football.
Memorial and committal services will be held at Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Okla., on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Steve Bratcher officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com.
