James's Story

James Wilbert Kopischke, 70, was born on February 15, 1947 in Sleepy Eye, MN, to Wilbert and Emma Kopischke, he was the oldest of 3 boys. Jim grew up in Minnesota until the family moved to Colorado in 1964 when he was a senior in high school.
Jim married Bonnie Jean Baker on May 20, 1967. Jim and Bonnie had 2 children, Jeanette and Jason. Jim and Bonnie made their home in Colorado until 2004 when they moved to Oklahoma.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie.
Jim is survived by his daughter Jeanette and son-in-law Mike, son Jason and daughter-in-law Missy, as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren - Cameron, Lindsey, Robby, Brittany, Katy, Riley, Emma, Miles, and Milah Jean; two brothers, Steven and wife Kathy and David and wife Dena; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jim was a very faithful man. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. Over the years Jim was a "jack of all trades" he could fix anything and was a master craftsman in the wood shop.
Jim passed away at his home in Wynnewood, Okla., on October 8, 2017.
Memorial service and lunch will be held Saturday Oct. 21, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the Eastern Gate Baptist Church in Wynnewood, Okla. All are welcome to come fellowship and celebrate Jim's life.
