Harry Lee “Bubba” Wright, of Elmore City, passed away July 7, 2016 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years. Harry was born October 3, 1946 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Harry William and Mildred Lydiann Wright. He grew up and lived most of his life in Garvin County in the area around Elmore City and Pauls Valley. He is a graduate of the Pauls Valley High School. Harry served in the United States Navy and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his tour of duty, he returned to Garvin County and worked until his retirement at the Pauls Valley State School where he helped take care of the boiler. He retired in 1998 after many years of service to the State School. Harry loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own grandkids. He was an avid O.S.U. fan and a member of the Shady Grove Church near Elmore City. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry William and Mildred Lydiann Wright. Surviving family include his sister and her husband, Ruth and Don Peters of Paoli; his niece and her husband, Lacie and Kenneth Morrison of Elmore City; his nephew and his wife, Tab and Tiffany Peters of Wynnewood; great nieces and nephews - Triston, Kristina, Taylor, Kristopher, Caylee, Kurtis and Kaydon; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. The family is requesting that all who attend services for “Bubba” come dressed in bright colors and casual attire in celebration of his life. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Pavilion officiated by Pastor Sammy Bray. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
