Glenn Darrell Cooper of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born on May 31, 1956 to Rex and Janice Cooper in Dallas, Texas and passed from this life on Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years.
Glenn grew up and attended school in Seminole, Oklahoma and the Houston, Texas area. When Glenn resided in Seminole, he became youth minister and pastor at Harvey Road Baptist Church at the age of 16. He worked as an operator for U.S. Steel and Phillips Petroleum. Later Glenn worked as a millwright in construction for 18 years.
On November 5, 1974, he married Norma Glover in Houston, Texas. In 1978 they made their home in Oklahoma.
In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, yard work, remodeled houses, and reading. The highlights of his life were his family and grandchildren.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife of 40 years, Norma Cooper of the home; daughters: Angela Dunkin and husband Jason of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Laura Nabors and husband Casey of Maysville, Oklahoma, and Christina Cooper of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; mother Janice Cooper of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Payden Skadal, Colton Skadal, Grady Dunkin, Sierra Dunkin, Mariah Cottrell, Hailey Cottrell, Kolby Cottrell, Lily Cottrell, Jaycee Nabors, Weston Nabors, Chase Nabors, Chas Eckert and wife Allidy, Taylor Billus, Michael Billus, Collin Billus, Arizona Ferguson and Liam Ferguson; and niece and nephews: Melissa Brown, Justin Smith and Darrell Smith.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his father, Rex Cooper, and sister, Regina Smith.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dehart officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
