Floy Mae Watson of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Floyd and Darlene (Long) Bullard on June 4, 1941 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 2, 2019 in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.
Floy grew up and first attended school at Parks and later graduated from Elmore City High School. She was a proud member of the 1959 state champion basketball team.
After high school she used her talents as a beautician and married John William "Bill" Watson on May 15, 1965 in Elmore City, Oklahoma.
Floy helped manage and run the family farm and ranch in Satterwhite, Oklahoma, and later owned and operated The Main Place in Elmore City and worked as a home health aide for Professional Home Care.
Floy was a Sunday School teacher and youth worker for many years and served as the Den Leader for Pack 71 in Elmore City. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing dominoes and checkers. The highlights of her life were her grandchildren.
Many people knew and loved Floy by attending Home Interior parties where they would laugh and find things to make their house beautiful.
Mrs. Watson is survived by her son, Johnny Bill Watson and wife Nancy of Elmore City, Oklahoma; daughter, Lisa Whitman and husband Spud of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; brother, Nolan Bullard and wife Lynn of Elmore City, Oklahoma; and 8 grandchildren - William Watson and wife Dana, Heather Jenkins and husband Ben, John Watson, Katie Reeves and husband Bobby, Brody Whitman, Allie Lance, Dakota Whitman, and Jake Lance.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Watson; her parents, Floyd and Darlene Bullard; brother, Arlyn Bullard; and sisters, Virginia Vail and an infant sister.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Elmore City, Oklahoma with Rev. Danny Reed officiating.
Interment will be in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. You may send a condolence to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com.
