The clouds of Heaven opened up Friday afternoon, October 6, 2017, to welcome one of God's children, Dimple Mobbs. She passed away peacefully and her heavenly celebration began shortly after 3 p.m.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home in Coalgate, Okla., from 6 to 8 p.m.
Her service will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Coalgate Church of Christ. Burial will be at Coalgate Cemetery.
Dimple was born December 31, 1915 in Elmore City, Okla., to C.A. and Myrtie Bristol Helvey. Her mother passed away in 1925 - just 10 years after Dimple was born.
She was married to A.L. Beevers in Pauls Valley on June 1, 1935. Her husband A.L. was killed in a hunting accident in November 1935. They had one son, also named A.L. Beevers, born July 7, 1936.
She later married Harvey Mobbs on July 10, 1937. Her second son, Maxie Joe Mobbs, was born June 22, 1938.
Dimple and her husband had several businesses in Pauls Valley prior to moving to a ranch south of Coalgate that had been left to her by her father. Here they began their ranching career raising cattle, race horses and hay.
Dimple was well known in her community of Coalgate for her countless hours of volunteer work.
She was a volunteer at the Manor Nursing Home, past president of the local chapter of AARP, a member of the Mary Hurley Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Coalgate Chamber of Commerce. She was also a member of the Coalgate Church of Christ.
Dimple had a servants heart and she was always willing and ready to serve in her community and help in any capacity - from putting together a fundraiser to baking endless cookies and pies for a bake sale.
Mrs. Dimple Mobbs is survived by one son, A.L. Beevers and wife Linda; grandsons - David Beevers and wife Tricia, Steve Beevers and wife Missy, Troy McCuller and wife Holly, and Ryan McCuller; and one sister, Sheila Ann Helvey.
She was blessed with 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, C.A. and Myrtie Helvey; sister, Inez Manning; brother, C.J. Helvey; husbands A.L. Beevers and Harvey Mobbs; and one son, Maxie Joe Mobbs.
