Denzil Lee (Pyle) DeSpain, 84, died March 24, 2017 in Carrollton, Texas. She was born August 13, 1932 at home near Elmore City, Oklahoma to Thomas and Estelle Pyle.
Denzil grew up in the community of Love in Garvin County, Oklahoma. She attended Love and Elmore City schools. She later earned professional certifications as a dental assistant and practiced in Pauls Valley and Norman, Oklahoma for most of her career.
Denzil married Leal, (Dee) DeSpain not once but twice and were at last happily married until Dee preceded her in death on September 22, 1990. They lived in Washington state and Texas before setting finally on their farm near Elmore City.
Denzil is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Deborah Rankin of Coppell, Texas; siblings Thomas Dwight Pyle of Springtown, Texas, and Paul Edward Pyle of Elmore City; grandchildren Jennifer Kay Rankin and Brian Thomas Rankin; and her beloved nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Denzil was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Estelle Pyle, siblings Wayne Pyle and Portia (Pyle) Jett, and her spouse, Dee DeSpain.
A memorial service will be held at Elmore City Church of Christ on Thursday, March 30, 2017. The family will be greeting friends and relations at 12 noon for lunch at the church and services are at 2 p.m.
