David's Story

David Albert Foote of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Elwyn Albert and Mary Agnes (Powers) Foote on January 6, 1946 in Auburn, New York and passed from this life on December 3, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years.
David grew up and attended school in Rochester, New York. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
In 1968 to 1970 he worked for Hughes Aircraft Corporation in Culver City, Calif. In 1970 to 1972 he worked as an electrician and general mechanic for South Coast Lumber Co. in Brookings, OR.
In 1972 to 1976 he worked for Regional Recycling and Resource Recovery in Rochester, NY before going to work for Rochester Midland Corporation in Rochester, NY. David was responsible for installing and maintaining all factory electrics, production line machinery repairs and troubleshooting.
In his spare time he enjoyed mowing, carpentry, electrical work, shooting guns, fishing, hunting, motorcycles and fast cars.
Mr. Foote is survived by 1 step son, Bobby Thornburg and his wife Charissa of Elmore City; 2 daughters, Dedra English and Thresa English; 4 sisters: Judith Tyle, Loretta Fredrick, Eilleen Phillips and Jean Sherman; and a host of grandchildren, family and friends
Mr. Foote was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Carol Foote; and 1 brother, Joseph Foote.
Funeral services were scheduled for 10 a.m. December 6, 2016 at the Katie Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Beckham officiating.
