Cindy's Story

Heaven received a beautiful angel on February 28, 2018. Cindy was born on November 22, 1967 in Ada, Oklahoma to Jim and Sue Beasley and passed away from this life on February 28, 2018 at the age of 50 at her home in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
She grew up in the Pauls Valley-Wynnewood area and attended 12 years in the Wynnewood Public Schools. She was an honor student and graduated from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.
Cindy was a believer in Jesus Christ and was highly respected by her family, by the community and in the church. She served as the children's director and women's Sunday school class teacher for many years. She also organized numerous Bible study groups, including special Bible studies to the women in the family.
She started the traditional Mother's Day Tea Celebration at Cole, which was an inspiration to her peers, family and friends and highlighted a special tribute to all mothers.
She was a wonderful Christian influence to her children and grandchildren and other family members. Cindy's hobbies were quilting, scrapbooking, teaching Christian values and planning and organization.
She was married to Mark Brown of Oklahoma City on June 15, 1991 and they made their home in Blanchard for 27 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Brown; three children - Meagan Griffin and her husband Mark of Blanchard, Heather Seltzer and her husband Emery of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and Tanner Brown and his wife Haley of Blanchard.
She has seven grandchildren - Macie, Mealyn and Myles Griffin, Scarlett and Loretta Seltzer of Lindsay, and Tinley and Baylor Brown of Blanchard; her parents Jim and Sue Beasley of Pauls Valley; and one sister, Sandy Ellison and her husband Charles of Lebanon, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law, Leroy Brown and his wife Janie; and numerous uncles and aunts and nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Loyd and Nellie Beasley of Pauls Valley; maternal grandparents, Neal and Arleeta Phillips of Elmore City; and one uncle, Lloyd (Sonny) Milligan of Stratford.
Services are scheduled for Monday, March 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Blanchard.
