Christopher Lee Brumley of Paoli was born on January 15, 1950 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Ruby Lee Brumley-Engle. Chris passed from this life on May 12 at his home at the age of 67 years.
He grew up mostly in Garvin County. He also lived in Louisiana and Texas. He attended school in Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma.
Chris was married to Doris Jean Blackwell in Gainesville, Texas on June 9, 1970. Over the years, he worked in the oilfield in Louisiana and Oklahoma. Chris was a hard worker.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Lee Brumley-Engle; sister Kay Burnett; grandpa Jefferson Carol; grandma Mary Lula (Love) Brumley; and many aunts and uncles, and special cousins Jackie Carol and Jimmy Quinnel.
Chris is survived by his wife of 46 years, Doris Brumley; son, Chris Scott Brumley and wife Michelle of Elmore City; daughter, Stephanie Jean Brumley-Felan of Paoli; brothers Jeff Engle and wife Cheretta of Pauls Valley and Mike Engle and wife Lisa; 6 grandchildren - Haley Coulter of Pauls Valley, Whitney, William, and Jessice Brumley of Elmore City, and Nathaniel Scott and Mason Lee Felan of Paoli; aunts Rosa Brumley and Mary Lou Brumley, both of Pauls Valley; sister-in-law, Darlene McAlister of Hennepin; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial funeral service will be held at First Church of God on May 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with James Tobey officiating.
