Cameron's Story

Text size

Cameron Patrick Millard of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Duane Millard and Shannon Riddle on March 17, 2000 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed from this life on October 19, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 16 years.
Cameron grew up and attended school at Whitebead and Pauls Valley. Cameron was known for his warm, contagious smile, a smile he gave up generously and to everyone.
Cameron was intelligent, fun-loving, quick-witted, and loved to make people laugh. His friends all say he was lighthearted, but that heart of his - as light as it was - was also a full one, for his fellow Panthers also insist that Cameron was energetic, magnetic, full of charisma, and really knew how to brighten a room with his inexhaustible joy and enthusiastic love for life.
As an athlete, Cameron would have told you this himself - he was a late-bloomer. It wasn't until his 8th grade year that Cameron played his first football game. BUT!!..during that game, Cameron surprised everyone, because each of the first five times Cameron touched the ball, his distinctive brand of magic kicked in, and ALL FIVE TIMES, Cameron ran the football more than 40 yards ON EACH RUN to rack up FIVE touchdowns. It's a story we tell because it is a story that really captures and represents who Cameron Millard was as a person.
Cameron was a young man who gave his all, wholeheartedly, to everything and everyone.
Cameron enjoyed working on his Jeep, spending time with his family and friends. He always carried Panther Pride and participated in football and track. His future plans were to become an engineer.
Cameron was devoted to the Lord and had special memories of Dwight Mission Church Camp. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church Youth in Pauls Valley. He will be missed.
Cameron leaves a legacy of life because he was an organ donor.
Cameron is survived by his father, Duane and Mandy Millard of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; sister, Shaylea "Sissy" Shebester of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; grandparents Poppy Larry Clipperton and Nanny Dathel Clipperton of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Mamu Marian Craig of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Ema Janet Riddle and Pepa Jim Riddle of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and Rev. Harry and Rita Millard of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; aunt, Gayle Millard of San Antonio, Texas; uncle, Jimmy Lee Riddle and wife Heather of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; cousins Jacob, Aja, and Teegan Riddle, Jeremy Kolok; and a host of other cousins, family and friends.
