Bertha Lee Williams of Pauls Valley went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years.
Bertha was born August 28, 1934 in Tatums, Oklahoma to Mason and Adell (Stevenson) Hoffman. She was raised in Tatums and attended Tatums schools. She is a 1958 graduate of the Tatums High School.
She moved to Pauls Valley at an early age and has made Pauls Valley her home most of her life. She worked 28 years in the Pauls Valley State School in the canteen. The residents were very special to her. She would say 'they were all her kids.' She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mason and Adell Hoffman; one sister, Verdella Allen; and a granddaughter, Michelle Williams.
Her surviving family include three children - Clarice Clayton, Renee Williams and Kimberly Milas; three stepchildren - Sheryl Peters, Glenda Lusk, and Gilbert Ray Williams; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Bradley; a former son-in-law, James Brown; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance, officiated by Pastor Bruce Ford.
